Adriano Giardina

Adriano Giardina Adriano Giardina was born in 1970. After having learned Musicology, he studied the harpsichord at the Conservatoire of Neuchâtel and attended music theory course in the Centre of Ancient Music in Geneva.

Moreover, he attended the training of orchestral conductor with Eric Bauer in Geneva and created and conducted during five years the Ensemble Pange Lingua, the ancient music choir of the Neuchâtel University.

Diapason Nowadays, he continues his instrumental training with the harpichordist Daniela Numico in Sion. In addition, as an assistant at the University of Lausanne, he works on a doctoral thesis (PhD) dedicated to Thomás Luis de Victoria, a Spanish composer of the XVIth century. His double training, as musicologist and musician, allows him to approach the repertory of La Sestina with rigour and sensitivity.
